Family

Family has always been my foundation and guiding purpose. When my wife and I moved to South Australia with our eldest son, we brought with us not just dreams, but the deep belief that with hard work, anything is possible in this country. Starting from scratch, I took on entry-level work in banking while raising a family in the north-eastern suburbs. Those early days were challenging, but they also instilled in me a lasting appreciation for the values of personal responsibility, sacrifice, and perseverance.

My wife, Aarti, is a qualified chef and an inspiring partner whose own journey as a migrant and professional has shaped our family’s values of hard work, hospitality, and resilience. Her passion for food and culture has not only enriched our home, but has also connected us more deeply with the community around us. We were blessed with twin boys in 2009, and together, we’ve raised our children with a deep appreciation for the opportunities that Australia offers and a sense of duty to contribute meaningfully in return.

My journey as a migrant father has shown me the power of resilience and support. I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be to balance work, education, and community expectations while trying to give your children every opportunity to succeed. These experiences have made me passionate about ensuring that Newland is a place where families feel secure, supported, and optimistic about the future.

Raising a family here shaped my worldview: we need safe streets, good schools, and a community that supports one another. That’s why I serve on the Governing Council of Adelaide High School, working alongside other parents to ensure our children receive a high-quality education and morals. I’ve also delivered free financial literacy workshops – because I believe every family should be empowered to make sound financial decisions and build a secure future. For me, public service begins at home, and it’s my family’s journey that drives me to want to serve yours.

I will advocate for policies that support working families, that strengthen our local schools and child care options, and that ease cost-of-living pressures. My goal is to make South Australia a place where families can thrive – where kids grow up safe and supported, where parents have job security and housing options, and where our seniors are respected and looked after.

Community

Community has been the heart of my life for the past decade – not just as a bystander, but as an enthusiastic contributor and organiser. I founded MILAAP (Multicultural Initiative of Linking All Australian People) to celebrate our differences and unite communities through culture, dialogue, and grassroots events.

Through MILAAP, we’ve hosted festivals, mentored future leaders, and built bridges across diverse backgrounds. These events have brought together thousands of people and have fostered social harmony in a practical, everyday way.

As a Justice of the Peace, I’ve volunteered my time to assist residents with legal documentation. In the Rotary Club of Adelaide, I’ve led peace-building initiatives in local schools, donating Peace Poles as part of Rotary International’s global mission to promote harmony and understanding. These Peace Poles are now proudly installed at Adelaide High School, Keithcot Farm Primary School, and more to come – standing as symbols of hope, unity, and shared values across our community.

I also support crisis outreach through TR Helpline and serve on the team at the Adelaide Multicultural Sports

Club, fostering inclusion through recreation. I’ve always believed in the strength of grassroots action. Real change doesn’t come from distant bureaucracy – it comes from neighbours, small businesses, and local organisations working together. That’s why I’ve worked with business owners to promote local economic development, and with cultural and faith groups to promote understanding and social cohesion.

South Australia is home to a growing, diverse population. I understand and relate to both long-standing residents and those building new lives here. My years of community service have built trust and deep connections across the state. I’m committed to ensuring every person feels heard, respected, and included. I will continue working with community groups, service clubs, and volunteers – the heart of our state – to support essential services and strengthen our social fabric.

Whether it’s a local sports club needing better facilities or a seniors group seeking support, I’ll ensure they see me as a trusted advocate and our party as their natural home.

Leadership

True leadership is about vision, credibility, and the ability to bring people together to achieve results. I’ve built multiple successful ventures, including Money Merchants Financial Services, which began as a one-man operation and grew into a nationally recognised firm. In 2017, we received the MFAA Award for Most Diversified Financial Business in Australia. I also run a 4.5-star country lodge in the Clare Valley and lead local development projects, all of which have created jobs and contributed to South Australia’s economy.

My leadership style is grounded in action, not words. I’ve created jobs, mentored young professionals, and supported entrepreneurs with practical financial advice. I understand the pressures that come with running a business, managing staff, and navigating government red tape. These are real-world skills I’ll bring to Parliament to ensure government policy supports – not hinders – our economic growth.

But leadership isn’t just about business success – it’s about stepping up when others don’t. It’s mentoring aspiring leaders. It’s giving your time, sharing your knowledge, and being present. That’s what I’ve done across South Australia for years. From finance masterclasses to school board decisions, I’ve used every opportunity to lead with purpose.

Now, I’m stepping forward to lead at a higher level. I believe South Australia needs strong, principled Liberal voices in State Parliament. Leaders who understand families, engage directly with communities, and bring a record of delivery. I’m ready to work hard, travel far, and speak up for the people who feel unheard.

With your support, I will be a tireless advocate for our party and our values – someone who leads by example and delivers results you can see and trust.

All in for South Australia.

All in to win.

South Australia is growing and changing – so must our approach to politics. As someone who has lived the migrant journey, built a business from scratch, and worked with communities from all walks of life, I know firsthand how powerful our Liberal values are when we take the time to listen and connect.

Everywhere I go, from small businesses in the suburbs to faith groups, sporting clubs, and community festivals, I meet people who believe in hard work, personal responsibility, and opportunity. These are Liberal values. But for too long, too many people have felt our party wasn’t speaking to them. That must change.

I believe the future of the Liberal Party lies in growing our support across all demographics including multicultural communities, aspirational migrants, young families, and small business owners. These South Australians share our values but haven’t always seen themselves reflected in our movement. That’s where I can make a difference.

Through my work with MILAAP, the Rotary Club, community sports, financial mentoring and cultural engagement, I’ve built relationships that reach well beyond traditional political boundaries. I’ve helped bring new people into the party, not just as voters, but as members, volunteers, and advocates.

My goal is to continue that work in Parliament, broadening our base by building trust, listening with humility, and showing people across South Australia that the Liberal Party is not just a political entity, but a home for all who share our values.

I firmly believe that our strength lies in inclusivity, not division, in shared values rather than identity. I am committed to building coalitions of people who share a vision of a better future, not just for themselves, but for their communities and future generations as well.

I’m ready to help lead that conversation and to help our party grow stronger, together.
